It is critically important that every residence has working smoke detectors on every level. Smoke detectors are life-saving devices and can give you and your family those extra seconds to escape in the event of a fire.

East Troy Fire & Rescue can provide and/or install a smoke detector in your home. If any of the following apply, please call the department at 262-642-7439.

• If you do not have a working smoke detector and cannot afford one

• You are unable to install your smoke detector or replace the batteries due to physical limitation or disability

• You do not know where to install your smoke detector
